DC TRIP...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Just got back from the trip to DC. It was good visiting my lil' Sis Karen who is stationed at the Pentagon. Also got to take pictures of some amazing stuff. We planned a lot of things in 3.5 days so it was hectic and exhausting but after seeing the images, it was sooo worth it. I have set up individual pages categorizing the images that I was able to capture in DC.  Hope you enjoy the pics!
I was really excited to get to DC.  Of course to spend time with my sis, but also to practice my new passion... photography.

OFF TO DC WE GO!
DC has some amazing Victorian style structures.  I have set up a page documenting some of places we were able to visit under "Buildings and Monuments"

BUILDINGS AND MONUMENTS
Its amazing to think about the artistry and skill involved in creating these works of art.  This page consists of some of my favorite images of the Statues and Memorials i had a chance to capture.

MEMORIALS AND STATUES
As a friend of mine said, the Arlington Cemetery is profoundingly sad, yet so beautiful.   It is sad that so many have lost their lives, but it is also inspiring to see such a beautiful place dedicated to their sacrifice. Being formerly in the military myself, I have great respect for all of those who have served and lost their lives for our freedom.

ARLINGTON CEMETERY
I enjoy taking images of still life.  It gives you a chance to play around with depth of field and with plants and flowers you get some great colors.

U.S. BOTANIC GARDENS
I have always loved long exposure photographs of subway trains.  Being that we don't have a true subway in Denver, I was glad to be able to add these images to my portfolio.

THE METRO!
This is a page for the pics that gave me a smile.  The spare of the moment shots where you aren't so worried about composition, framing..yada yada yada can sometimes turn out to be some of the most enjoyable ones.

JUST FOR FUN
Just as the title says...images of Art and some Abstract photos taken during my DC trip.
